She’s fought death and won. But how can she fight her fears?

Avry knows hardship and trouble. She fought the plague and survived. She took on King Tohon and defeated him. But now her heart-mate, Kerrick, is missing, and Avry fears he’s gone forever.

But there’s a more immediate threat. The Skeleton King plots to claim the Fifteen Realms for his own. With armies in disarray and the dead not staying down, Avry’s healing powers are needed now more than ever.Torn between love and loyalty, Avry must choose her path carefully. For the future of her world depends on her decision. (Source: Goodreads)

It is always difficult to review series finales. You want to give a feel without giving anything away. Most of the safer subjects, like world-building, have already been discussed. What to do?

Avry’s world gets incredibly messy, so much that you aren’t sure they can get it together by the end. What I continue to love about Avry is her ability to tear herself away from safety and the people she loves to try to right their world. I felt like my heart was beating to the constant ups and downs of a yo-yo. You’ll sway constantly from a precarious happiness to near death more times than I thought necessary. Though I felt a tad abused by actions of the book, I still felt my emotions fall in-sync with where SNYDER takes the series.

I think most readers will walk away satisfied in the end and continue to look for SNYDER‘s work. I know I’m not going to let the STUDY series sit idly by on my shelf much longer.
